On August 19, 2019 Ioannis Miaoulis became the 11th President of ܽƵ. President Miaoulis brings a deep background in education and community engagement as the former President of the Boston Museum of Science and former Dean of the School of Engineering at Tufts University.

About President Miaoulis
A visionary leader in experiential learning and a champion of STEM education, Dr. Ioannis “Yannis” N. Miaoulis is the 11ᵗʰ president of ܽƵ (ܽƵ), a nationally recognized leader in higher education located in Bristol, Rhode Island. Serving as ܽƵ president since 2019, Dr. Miaoulis has advanced ܽƵ's mission of academic excellence, innovation, and community engagement. Originally from Greece, he earned degrees from Tufts University and MIT in mechanical engineering. Before joining ܽƵ, Dr. Miaoulis was president of the Boston Museum of Science, where he founded the National Center for Technological Literacy. At ܽƵ, President Miaoulis continues to champion experiential learning, sustainability, and strategic growth that prepare students for leadership and success in today’s world.
