Scholars at Risk
In 2005, ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ became a member of the (SAR) Network, joining hundreds of academic intuitions worldwide in the mission to protect scholars and promote academic freedom.
Although many ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ-SAR activities reach broad swaths of the campus, ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ-SAR is housed in the University Library. This is the natural center for the campus, based on the University Library’s commitment to the American Library Association’s Code of Ethics, in particular the responsibilities for upholding intellectual freedom, and the librarian’s role in engaging in public and community affairs.
